Refund Policy
tripstant
Your next trip in an instant.
This Refund Policy explains when you can cancel a tripstant subscription, when refunds are available, and how to request one. It applies to payments you make for our own digital service (plans such as tripstant Plus and Concierge). It does **not** govern flights, hotels, activities or other travel services sold by third-party providers. By purchasing a paid plan you agree to this Refund Policy together with our **Terms of Service**.

1. Who this policy covers
The contracting party for the tripstant Service is:
7X Experience UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Im Heimgarten 10
c/o Niels David Siebenborn
60389 Frankfurt am Main
Germany
(“tripstant”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Website purchases are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for those orders, issues invoices and receipts, and issues refunds. Your card or bank statement may show Paddle alongside tripstant. Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms apply: https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms
iOS In-App Purchases are sold by Apple. Refunds and billing disputes for those charges are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com or the App Store). tripstant cannot refund an App Store charge through Paddle.
2. What you are paying for
Paid tripstant plans are digital subscription services. They unlock premium features of the tripstant website and apps (for example advanced AI refinements, collaboration, offline maps and Concierge support). Current prices, billing intervals and trial lengths are shown on the pricing page before you pay.
Paddle is the Merchant of Record for website subscription charges. Apple is the seller of record for iOS In-App Purchases. tripstant is not the merchant of record for underlying travel services. Money you pay a third-party provider for a flight, stay or activity is charged by that provider under their own terms.
3. Subscriptions: cancellation (not the same as a refund)
3.1 How to cancel
You may cancel a subscription at any time:
Website (Paddle):
- In your account settings (billing / manage subscription), which opens Paddle’s customer portal
- At https://paddle.net, or via the receipt / manage-subscription link in the confirmation email Paddle sent you
- By emailing hello@tripstant.app from the address on your account
iOS (App Store):
- Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions
- The manage-subscription control in the iOS app (Apple’s subscription sheet)
- Deleting your tripstant account does not cancel an App Store subscription
3.2 When cancellation takes effect
Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the current billing period (monthly or annual), unless you also receive a refund under section 4 or mandatory law.
3.3 After access ends
When the period ends, your account returns to the free plan. Saved trips remain available under free-plan limits. You can resubscribe at any time at the then-current price.
4. Refunds for tripstant plans
4.1 14-day money-back
If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the payment (your first purchase or a renewal). You do not need to give a reason. This applies to all customers, not only consumers in the EU, EEA or UK.
Approved refunds for website charges are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. Approved refunds for App Store charges are issued by Apple.
4.2 After the 14-day window
Unless this policy or mandatory law says otherwise:
- Subscription fees already paid are not refunded if you cancel more than 14 days after the payment
- We do not issue partial or pro-rata refunds for unused time after that window
- One-time fees, if offered, follow the same 14-day window, then are non-refundable once the digital feature has been delivered, subject to any remaining withdrawal rights below
You can still cancel at any time so that you are not charged again.
4.3 Free trial
Where a plan includes a free trial (for example 14 days of tripstant Plus with no card required to start), you are not charged unless you later start a paid subscription. There is nothing to refund for an unused or cancelled trial.
4.4 Duplicate or erroneous charges
If you were charged twice in error, charged after a confirmed cancellation, or charged an amount that does not match the price shown at checkout, we will arrange a full refund of the incorrect amount through Paddle (website) or ask you to request it from Apple (iOS). Contact us, Paddle or Apple as soon as you notice the charge.
4.5 Service not delivered
If a paid plan cannot be provided for a reason within our control (for example a prolonged outage of paid features after payment has already been taken), we will refund the affected period or offer a credit of equivalent value.
4.6 Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, we, Paddle or Apple may suspend the paid plan while the dispute is open. Please contact us, Paddle or Apple first so we can resolve the issue faster.
5. Statutory withdrawal right (EU / EEA / UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services under the Consumer Rights Directive (and equivalent national rules). That right runs alongside the 14-day money-back guarantee in section 4.1.
5.1 How to withdraw
Website: send a clear statement to hello@tripstant.app or to Paddle at https://paddle.net within 14 days of purchase (you do not need a special form). Include the email on your account and the date of purchase.
iOS: request a refund from Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com or via the App Store. You may also email hello@tripstant.app; we cannot reverse an App Store charge ourselves.
5.2 When the right does not apply
The statutory right of withdrawal is lost for digital content or services that have begun with your express prior consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. Paddle Checkout, StoreKit confirmation and our paid-plan flow start the service immediately after successful payment.
The 14-day money-back guarantee in section 4.1 still applies even if the statutory right has been lost, unless mandatory law provides a longer period.
If the service has not yet begun, or if mandatory law still requires a refund, Paddle (website) or Apple (iOS) will refund you using the original payment method.
5.3 Mandatory law always prevails
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer right in your country of residence, including any right to a refund, price reduction or cancellation that cannot be excluded.
6. Third-party travel bookings (not refunded by tripstant, Paddle or Apple)
Cancellations, changes and refunds for flights, accommodation, activities and similar services are handled only by the third-party provider you booked with, under that provider’s own cancellation and refund rules.
tripstant, Paddle and Apple:
- Do not collect those fares as merchant of record
- Cannot issue a refund for a provider charge
- Will, where reasonably possible, help you find the provider’s support channel
See our Terms of Service (bookings and third parties) for the role of tripstant as intermediary.
7. How to request a refund
Website (Paddle is Merchant of Record):
- At https://paddle.net (Paddle’s buyer portal), or via the receipt / manage-subscription link in Paddle’s confirmation email
- By emailing hello@tripstant.app with the email on your account, the date and amount of the charge, and a short description of the issue
We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved website refunds are sent back to the original payment method by Paddle. Card refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Questions about a website order, invoice or payment method can also be raised with Paddle at https://paddle.net at any time.
iOS (Apple is seller of record):
- Request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com or via the App Store
- You may also email hello@tripstant.app; we cannot reverse an App Store charge through Paddle
Cancel an iOS subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, not at paddle.net.
8. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email. The version in force at the time of a purchase applies to that purchase, except where a later version is more favourable to you or required by law.
